This book reviews research on pharmaceutical formulation and medicinal chemistry. It begins with a summary of old and new discoveries on therapeutic applications of the A3 adenosine receptor in inflammation and cancer, and highlights the most important agonists and antagonists developed for the A3 adenosine receptor, explicitly those in clinical trials for the treatment of inflammation and/or cancer.

The next chapter addresses and highlights the different inhibitions against metastases in vivo and molecular mechanisms of action in vitro of Biz compounds especially relating to the inhibitory efficacies against tumor metastasis and other important clinical utilizations including inhibitory pathways against angiogenesis, topoisomerase II, calmodulin, sialic acid, fibrinogen, drug combinations, medicinal chemistry, cell-movement and so on. Chapter three focuses on concepts of isosterism and bioisosterism in modern medicinal chemistry. The final chapter discusses the determination of L-Dopa in pharmaceutical formulations with a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) adsorbed on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCN).
