Green supply chain management is at the heart of sustainable development in the 21st century whereby environmental, social, and governance issues are given strategic priority in the boardroom. Although some economic challenges are limiting the ability of organizations to embrace sustainable practices, it is expected that a responsible organization must be at the forefront of the adoption of environmentally friendly practices. This book critically examines the green supply chain management principles at a time when emerging advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, big data, and machine learning are transforming the supply chain management discourse. It also focuses on the critical success factors, barriers, and benefits of green supply chain management towards a circular economy.
