This volume includes seven chapters that detail advances in psychology research. Chapter 1 explores educational change as a dynamic psychological system rather than a linear or purely structural process. Chapter 2 aims to explore how culture influences the expression, subjective experience, and diagnostic construct of psychosis. Chapter 3 examines the phenomenon of self-knowledge on various deep levels – from the level of the “Self” to national and cultural self-awareness. Chapter 4 illustrates the socio-cultural background of today’s psycho-social child development, and outlines options of time frames for circumcision from a psychosomatic point of view. Chapter 5 analyses the role of attachment as a foundation for the socioemotional development and mental health of young adults in their early dating relationships. Chapter 6 discusses the challenges to healthy sleep in children, including the impact of rapidly changing social, environmental, and technological conditions have on how much sleep children get. Finally, Chapter 7 introduces the AQ (Adversity Quotient) and its importance in child development in terms of fostering a growth mindset, teaching coping skills, encouraging ownership and control, creating a supportive environment, setting goals, and problem-solving.
