Zhang Zhe was born in Jiangsu province in 1944 and graduated from Tangshan Institute of Railway (now Southwest Jiaotong University) in 1967. Zhang Zhe is a professor of Dalian University of Technology. He is the director of Bridge & Tunnel Research Laboratory of Dalian University of Technology, the director of Wind Tunnel Laboratory of Dalian University of Technology, the director of Design Institute of Civil Engineering & Architecture of DUT and the vice director of Modern Engineering Test Co. Ltd. of DUT.
