Zelda Gillian Knight had the privilege of being an academic for many years, teaching students, supervising research, playing with ideas, writing, and learning from all kinds of people. Her own research is in the area of relational psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Her research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed international journals as well as in academic books as chapters. She has edited two books on psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, and I am a reviewer for several international scientific journals, as well as on the Editorial Board of two international journals. In addition, she has presented her work at more than 30 international conferences around the world, and was a keynote address speaker at several international psychotherapy conferences. Currently she is a Professor of Psychology at University of Johannesburg, a registered Counselling Psychologist, and a NRF Rated Scientist.
