Dr. Yury Kamenir, born in Kursk, graduated at Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow, USSR in 1972 having studied aerospace control electronics. 1991 he completed his PhD in hydrobiology, at the IBSS (National Academy of Science of Ukraine), Sevastopol. From 1996, Dr. Kamenir continued research at Universities of Haifa and Bar-Ilan, Israel on size structure patterns of aquatic communities.
