Yuri Orlov
Principal Researcher, Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia.
Orlov Yuri Vsevolodovich was born on September 2, 1930 in Moscow,
USSR. In 1949 he entered the Physics Department of the Lomonosov Moscow
State University and in 1954 graduated from it. After having graduated, he
joined the Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Lomonosov Moscow
State University. In 1960 he defended his PhD (“candidate”) thesis on “Interaction
in the final state in direct nuclear reactions”. In 1985 he defended
his DSc thesis on “Investigation of few-baryon systems by the method of integral
equations”. At present he works as a leading researcher at the Department
of the Atomic Nucleus Physics of the Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics,
Lomonosov Moscow State University. The field of interest of Yu.V.Orlov is
as follows: Theory of atomic nuclei, nuclear reaction theory, physics of fewbody
systems, analyticmethods in scattering theory, Coulomb effects in nuclear
systems.
