Yuping Ran is a Professor in the Department of Dermatovenereology, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, China. He had completed his PhD degree from Juntendo University, Japan. He is specialized in clinical and basic research on infectious dermatoses of viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. He is also a board member of Chinese Society of Dermatology. He is a chairman of Mycology group of Chinese society of Dermatology. He has published more than 60 SCI papers. He completed different courses on medical mycology including Central bureau voor Schimmel cultures (CBS), Fungal Biodiversity Centre, Netherlands, International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS) Fellow, International Emerging Infectious Diseases (IEID) Fellow, Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC), USA.
