Yuang Wei, PhD

Yuang Wei is currently a Ph.D. at the Lab of Artificial Intelligence for Education, East China Normal University. He obtained his master’s degree in engineering from North China University of Technology in 2022. His research focuses on explainable artificial intelligence in education, learner modeling, cognitive diagnosis, and related areas. He has authored or co-authored several papers as the first author or corresponding author in top journals such as Information Processing and Management, Interactive Learning Environments, and IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES. He also serves as a reviewer for journals like IP&M, EAIT, and conferences including AIED, GCCCE, AAAI, and ICDE. Additionally, he is a Program Committee Member for the 1st Workshop on Large Language Models in Education at the 28th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE2024).
Wei Yuang has received six national awards and three provincial-level awards in China. He holds two invention patents and three software copyrights. He collaborated with Beijing Normal University on the compilation of the Global Artificial Intelligent Education Support Environment White Paper for K-12. His current research focus is on explainable learner cognitive modeling methods.
