Yong-Jie Xu is an associate researcher of Hubei Academy of Forestry Science. He graduated from China Academy of Forestry Science with a PhD degree in 2016. He has been engaged in the research of breeding and cultivation technology of walnut and other economic forest species. He is currently a member of the Chinese Economic Association, Walnut Professional Association, the Deputy Secretary General of the Economic Forestry Professional Committee of Hubei Forestry Society, and an external supervisor of master’s students from Yangtze University and Central South University of Forestry Science and Technology. He has presided over 2 Hubei-level science and technology projects, won 5 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, presided over the development of 5 Hubei local standards, presided over the selection and breeding of 2 new varieties, participated in the validation of 1 national and 5 provincial varieties, won 2 national invention patents, and published more than 40 papers in well-known journals. He is currently very interested in the endophytic fungi of walnuts and has published three articles on the subject.
