During Yasuni Nakanuma long diagnostic and research career on the pathology and pathophysiology of bile ducts, he came with a novel concept of biliary diseases with pancreatic counterparts. This concept explains many unanswered areas of pancreatibiliary pathophysiologies and hopefully contributes to the development of therapeutical strategies of biliary and pancreatic diseases.
