Assistant Professor, International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART), IIUM, KL Malaysia

Dr. Wan Syibrah Hanisah Wan Sulaiman is an assistant professor at the International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from IIUM in 2019 and holds a Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability from the University of South Australia (2013). Her research focuses on environmental sustainability, halal lifestyle, phytoremediation, and green technology in the built environment. Additionally, she investigates halal ingredients, including the development of halal colorants from natural pigments. Her interdisciplinary work encompasses halal tourism, inclusive design, and bioactive compounds, with the goal of aligning ecological innovation with Islamic values to promote sustainability in the halal industry.
