Vladimir Katuch was born in 1971 in Kosice, Slovakia. He completed the Medical Faculty of P.J. Safarik University, Kosice, in 1995. After completing the study, he started working as a neurosurgeon at the Department of Neurosurgery, University Hospital, Kosice, Slovakia. In 2000, he received a Kenichiro Sugita CNS International Fellowship, which had been conducted under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Loftus at the University of Oklahoma. In 2004, he spent one month at the Department of Neurosurgery USFC in San Francisco. He works as a Vice-Chairman responsible for healthcare at the Department of Neurosurgery University Hospital in Kosice, Slovakia, with a special interest in degenerative spine surgical procedures.
