VITALY N. BATURIN (Vitali Batourine) is an experimentalist in high energy particle physics. He received a doctoral degree from the Russian Academy of Science in 1992. As a staff physicist of Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, he specialized in nucleon-nucleon and pion-nucleon interactions, electro-production of pions, muon catalyzed fusion, and nuclear muon capture. From 1990 as a research scientist he worked at PSI (Switzerland), INFN (Italy), Penn State University and BNL (USA), DESY (Germany), and KNU (South Korea), where he performed experimental studies, data analysis, and R&D projects. Since 2007 as a Staff Physicist of Jefferson Lab he has been successfully leading the CTOF project of the Hall B 12 GeV Upgrade program.
