Dr. V.K. Singh : An ethnobotanist, obtained his Ph.D. in plant taxonomy (1971). Presently Advisor-cum-consultant (Botany), Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, is credited with some 100 review and original research papers dealing with medicinal plants and folk medicines of India. Conducted series of ethnopharmacological field surveys in different tribal inhabited forest zones of the country during last three decades. Adjudged for various awards and honours including Life-Time Achievement Award (2005) by CCRUM, Dept. of AYUSH, Govt. of India. Superannuated as Deputy Director (Botany) in 2008.
