With her multiple language skills and extensive industry experience in marketing and tourism, Dr. Thuy-Huong Truong was an assistant manager and a business consultant for many international joint-venture companies across Vietnam. These comprise of various fields from tourism, marketing, hospitality, medicine, engineering and construction, water and wastewater, and forestry and agriculture.

As a lecturer, Dr. Thuy-Huong has experience teaching a range of subjects including marketing, tourism, hospitality, management, consumer behavior, and cross-cultural study spanning over 25 years at various institutions in Vietnam, France and Australia. Additionally, she has taught numerous units at many offshore campuses including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Kuwait, China, France and Vietnam.

As a researcher, she has published many books, book chapters, and academic journal articles over the past 18 years. She has attended various conferences in Australia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Dr. Thuy-Huong’s research interests and areas of specialization include cross-cultural study, international marketing and tourism, marketing services and experiences, consumer behavior, destination resources and product development, and tourism in the Asia-Pacific region and developing countries.
