Thomas Heinen

Thomas Heinen studied sport science. He is a trained sport psychologist and sport physiotherapist. He earned a PhD from the German Sport University Cologne in 2006 (major topic: psychology). In 2013 he received his postdoctoral lecture qualification in sport science with a special emphasis on visual perception in complex skills. He currently works as a professor of social sciences of sport at the Institute of Sport Science of the University of Hildesheim (Germany). His research topics include perceptual-cognitive control of complex movements and the sensory basis in interpersonal coordination.
