Takumi Onuma is a senior geologist at JGI, Inc., and is a certified professional engineer in applied sciences. He is a specialist in remote sensing geology and has been engaged in oil exploration for many years. His recent researches focus on the satellite SAR interferometry to detect the surface displacement related with earthquakes, active faults and landslides, as well as anthropogenic activities including the development of oil and gas fields and carbon-dioxide capture and storage projects.
