Dr. Surekha P has completed her B.E Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in PARK College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and her Master's Degree in Control Systems at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She has obtained her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, Tamilnadu. Her current research work includes Computational Intelligence. Presently, she works as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India. She has six years of experience in industry and 12 years of experience in academics and research.

She was a Rank Holder in both B.E and M.E Degree programs. She has received Alumni Award for best performance in curricular and co-curricular activities during her Master's Degree program. She has presented papers in National Conferences and Journals. In addition, she has authored the following books:
