Stephen Ellis, PhD (Editor)

Dr. Stephen Ellis holds both PFHEA and Chartered Manager accreditation, reflecting his twin track career in management and education. He joined Regents University in 2014 after 4 years at University of Chichester. He returned to academia following 11 years with HSBC as an international management development specialist, and latterly as a senior HR business partner. He previously worked in a range of educational roles for over 20 years. He completed his PhD on Knowledge Management with the University of Bradford in 2006 which was subsequently published as a textbook on Knowledge Based Working. He obtained his first degree from Manchester University, a PhD from Bradford University and an MBA from Henley and has published books on Organisational Behaviour, Knowledge Management and Flexible Working. Steve has worked in 10 culturally diverse countries and has managed significant HR change and development projects in the financial services industry. His current research interests focus on using chatbot potential to engage students. In the past he has consulted on organisational performance and employee engagement. Originally from Sheffield, he now lives in Surrey and his outside interests include music (playing and listening) and supporting the not so mighty ‘Blades’.
