Smriti Gurung is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University. She earned her Ph.D from Kathmandu University in 2012. She has 20 years of experience in teaching. Her expertise includes high altitude limnology and freshwater ecology. Currently, she is involved in research projects related to water quality and freshwater biodiversity. She is a reviewer of the International Journal of Environment (Nepal) and a member of the International Development Peer Review College.
