Shoji Goto, PhD

Shoji Goto was in the English Department at Rikkyo University from April 1953 to March 1957, and the graduate Department of English, Mater Course at Rikkyo University from April 1957 to March 1959. He was apart of the graduate Department of English, Doctor Course at Rikkyo University from April 1959 to March 1962, a visiting Scholar for Harvard Divinity School under the advisorship of Professor Conrad Wright from September 1975 to August 1976; April to August 1980 and April to August 1989. Shoji Goto lectured at Rikkyo University beginning in 1963 , he was an Associate Professor for Rikkyo University beginning in 1966 and was a Professor at Rikkyo University from 1966 to 1997. He retired in March of 1997. Dr. Goto was also the recipient of The Ralph Waldo Emerson Society’s 2018 Distinguished Achievement Award.
