Sharoon Qaiser, MD (Editor)

University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, US.

Dr. Qaiser graduated from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan and then moved to the USA for further research and training in neurology. He developed his interest in headaches in children and young adults during his child neurology training. He realized headaches are not only under-recognized in children but under-diagnosed as well. He advocated that headaches in children are one of the most common cause of missed school days. Despite such a high morbidity, there is a lack of comprehensive approach towards headaches in children. This unmet need motivated him to start a career in headache medicine. He was trained further at one of the largest children headache centers in the world and started a comprehensive, multidisciplinary headache program at his Alma Mater: University of Kentucky.
