Shahryar Habibi is currently an associate professor in architecture. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Civil Infrastructure Testing and Evaluation Laboratory (CITEL) at the Architectural Engineering Department and the Stuckeman Center for Design Computing (SCDC) at the Architecture Department, simultaneously at Pennsylvania State University, United States. He holds a PhD from the University of Ferrara in Ferrara, Italy, for which he won an award for the best thesis of 2016 as well as the prestigious Nicolò Copernico prize. He has practical experience in both academia and industrial work: He is licensed to practice architecture in Italy and is a sustainability consultant and researcher, and he has also held teaching positions at various universities across the world.
