Dr. Seema Puri is Associate Professor in Food and Nutrition at the Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. She has not only contributed articles in several books on child health, diet and nutrition but is also the co-author of a bestselling textbook on nutrition and dietetics. She has been the National Vice President of the Indian Dietetic Association and also serves on important national and international level bodies on child health and nutrition. An avid researcher, she has worked extensively in the area of infant and young child nutrition, school health and nutrition as well as geriatric nutrition for which she has received several awards and commendations. With over 35 years of experience as a teacher, she takes immense pride in the achievements of the innumerable students she has mentored and who are today well placed professionally in the nutrition arena.
