Sandra Rosa Fuselli, PhD

Dr. Sandra R. Fuselli made her PhD in Biological Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP, Argentina). At present, Dr. Fuselli is a researcher of the Commission of Scientific Research of the Province of Buenos Aires (CIC) at UNMdP, and Director of the Applied Microbiology Research Group (GIMA). Her investigations are mainly focused on the apicultural field related with the study of honeybee diseases, with special interest in American foulbrood. In this research field, Dr. Fuselli received the Mercosur Prize of Science and Technology 2007. Dr. Fuselli was awarded the Alban Program Doctoral Scholarship at the University of Bologna (Italy) and the Carolina Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Córdoba (Spain). Dr. Fuselli has directed and co-directed several doctoral fellowships and theses of students with CONICET and CIC fellowships, and currently is directing two doctoral theses. Dr. Fuselli has published 32 research articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, and is the author of about 100 communications to national and international conferences and scientific meetings. Dr. Fuselli directs and participates in several research projects funded by UNMdP, CIC, the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Promotion (ANPCyT, Argentina), Minister of Science and Technology (MINCYT, Argentina) and international organizations (Mercosur). Dr. Fuselli is reviewer for several national and international peer reviewed scientific journals and evaluator of ANPCYT research projects.
