Dr. Saira Banu received her B.E in Computer Science & Engineering from Madras University, Chennai and her M. Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. She did her doctorate in enhancing the performance of voice using the VoIP protocol. She is currently working as Professor in the Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology. She worked as a Professor in the HKBK group of Institutions, Bangalore and as an Associate Professor in the Research and Development Department of Chitkara University, Punjab. She has 15 years of teaching experience in various universities. She has been selected as the most promising woman educator of Tamil Nadu for the year 2018. She has served as a chairperson and technical committee member for various international conferences. She has authored more than twenty papers in journals, conferences and book chapters related to her research. Her research includes Wireless, Underwater IoT, Big Data Mining, Mobile Computing, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
