Safwan Dawod is a Syrian writer and researcher who nowadays works as a specialist in Syrian affairs in the European Centre for Counterterrorism studies and Intelligence located in Germany. He worked for a short time in the committee of research evaluation in Beit Awdah for research and options in Syria. He has tens of published articles and studies that deal with the Syrian crisis and the structure of the Syrian regime. He also has several published works including Transformations in the Syrian War which was published in 2016 by Nour Publishing House in Germany. He is a founding member of the opposing movement for peaceful change in Syria. A member of Latakia committee for Intra Syrian national dialogue, he has participated in several conferences and symposiums on the Syrian internal dialogue. During his work, he experienced important field events related to the Syrian war and looked closely at many field events related to the Syrian citizen’s emigration and their suffering resulting from violent events, many of which he has documented. He played a great role in facilitating the refugee conditions.
