Prof. S M Sohel Murshed was born in Bangladesh and obtained his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2007. He is currently a professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Lisbon, Portugal. Previously he worked as postdoctoral fellow and visiting professor/scientist at universities in Singapore, USA, UK, and India. He has received prestigious DUO-India Professorial Fellowship Award 2020. He has so far authored/co-authored 10 books, 30 book-chapters and over 170 papers in leading international journals and conferences. A number of his papers have been classified as Highly Cited Papers and his current citation is 7078 with h-index of 31 (GS). Prof. Murshed ranked among World’s Top 2% Scientists published in 2020.
