From 2016 to 2017, Dr. Paulauskas was employed at PAE US Government Services in the position of Senior Mental Health Advisor in Kabul, Afghanistan. He currently works as a consultant at Oikonomos, Inc.
Dr. Paulauskas’ research interests lie in the areas of abnormal behavior and its prevention. In recent years, he has also focused on the development of psychological assessment instruments. Dr. Paulauskas’ academic experience includes teaching and research at Vilnius University in Vilnius, Lithuania as well as LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Paulauskas was the Executive Director at Lake Grove Maple Valley, Inc., a residential special education facility for emotionally disturbed adolescents in Wendell, Massachusetts, USA. In 2000, on behalf of the agency, he had the honor of accepting the Ernest Codman Award from the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) for quality improvement initiatives.
Roland Paulauskas completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. and his Doctorate in Education at Vilnius University in Vilnius, Lithuania. Dr. Paulauskas received a Sex Offender Counselor Certificate from University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA and a Certification in Management Development from Cornell University in New York, NY, USA. From 2001 to 2006 Dr. Paulauskas served on JCAHO’s Behavioral Health Advisory Board as well as on Massachusetts Department of Education Advisory Council on Global Education. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences on abnormal behavior prevention and treatment issues. He has published several books and numerous scientific papers in both English and Lithuanian.
