Dr. Ritimoni Bordoloi has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Education at K.K. Handiqui State Open University, Assam, India since 2007. She did her PhD from Gauhati University on the topic “Social Security and Women Empowerment.” Her research interests are in the areas of Gender Studies, Economics of Education, Political Sociology, open and distance education and so on. She has written a number of research papers and articles in journals and books and presented her works in several National and International seminars and conferences. She has received the prestigious 2019 Emerald Literati Award for the paper “Transforming and empowering higher education through Open and Distance Learning in India” published in Asian Association of Open Universities Journal.
