Dr. Vilallonga graduated in general surgery in Vall d'Hebron Hospital in 2008. Doctor cum laude and Special Award (2004) from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, among many other awards. He trained at IRCAD (Strasbourg, France) with Dr. Jacques Marescaux and Dr. Bernard Dallemagne. Also trained with Dr. Keith Kim in Celebration Hospital (Florida, USA) for robotic bariatric surgery and Dr. Raul Rosenthal in Cleveland Clinic (Florida). Dr. Ramon Vilallonga is an expert in robotic surgery and advanced laparoscopy. He has published more than 75 articles in national and international journals and more than 300 communications in congresses of the specialty. He developed the robotic bariatric and children program in Vall d'Herbon Hospital. He worked with his Master in Bariatric Surgery in Belgium with Dr. Jacques Himpens in a high volume center. Currently working as a Consultant surgeon in Universitary Hospital Vall Hebron in Barcelona.
