Rajjan Chitrakar is an educator and researcher with a background in architecture and urbanism. He holds a PhD in Urban Design from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He has also completed a Master’s Degree in Urban Design from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Nepal Engineering College, Tribhuvan University. Rajjan has more than 15 years of academic experience in Australia and Nepal and is currently pursuing a career in teaching and research at Melbourne Polytechnic, Australia. His current research interests are on the broad areas of urban planning and design, with a focus on urban growth and transformation, public realm and placemaking and smart built environment. Rajjan has widely published on highly ranked international journals.
