Rajib Lochan Goswamee, PhD (Editor)

Senior Principal Scientist, Materials Science and Technology Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, India.
Born in 1962 in Dhapkata, Jorhat, Assam, India, Rajib Lochan Goswamee obtained his MSc in Chemistry from Manipur University with specialisation in Inorganic Chemistry in 1986. After working as a teacher and in the oil industry, he became a Scientist at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, in 1988. He obtained his PhD from Gauhati University in 2000. He is presently Sr Principal Scientist in Materials Science and Technology Division of CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat. He was also Group Leader of Advanced Materials Group and Head of the Department of Materials Science and Technology Division at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat. Also, he holds the honorary position of Professor in Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi. He has successfully guided several PhD students. He has a number of research publications in different journals along with several Indian and US patents. He is a winner of the M D Karkhanawala young scientist award from the Indian Thermal Analysis Society. He was a DAAD Long Term fellow in the Mineralogy Institute of University of Erlangen-Nuremberg Germany as well as CNRS Fellow to European Institute of Membranes Montpellier France. His areas of interest are structure and properties of LDHs, mixed metal nano oxides, environmental catalysis and catalytic membrane reactor, water defluoridation and dearsenication, permanent immobilization toxic inorganic species, oil well drilling fluid formulation, oil well formation stabilisation, technology up-scaling, IPR education and extension etc.
