Dr Rajesh Kumar did his Masters and PhD in Zoology from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.) India. He is currently working as Professor Assistant in Department of Biosciences, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) India. He has more than 09 years of experience in teaching and research. His thrust areas of research are Animal Physiology, Applied Zoology, Nutraceuticals and Biodiversity Conservation. During PhD, he was awarded Junior Research Fellowship by University Grants Commission under the meritorious students in science scheme. Dr Kumar has successfully completed 02 Major Research Projects and 02 CM Startup Projects in the area of Honeybee Physiology/Nutrition and Waste Management sponsored by Government of Himachal Pradesh. He has also completed one self-sustaining project entitled “Establishment of Vermicompost Unit under Clean Campus Green Campus”. Dr Kumar has published about 100 Research Articles including 25 Book Chapters in indexed journals/publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Scopus, WoS, CRC Press, AAP etc, 10 Research Papers in Full Length Proceedings, 05 Books (CRC Press), 04 Monographs, 12 Awards, 80 Abstracts by participating in more than 75 national/international conferences. He has successfully supervised 02 PhD, 01 MPhil, 43 MSc students for their research work and currently, 03 PhD candidates are working under his supervision. Dr Kumar has successfully organized 16 national level academic events/conferences by collaborating with various government agencies like NITI Aayog, DEST, HIMCOSTE, NABARD etc. and delivered more than 10 invited talks/extension lectures in different institutions. He is life/fellow member of various prestigious scientific agencies like ISC, HBSRA, STRA, ISZS etc and also reviewer of several journals of national and international repute.
