Rajesh Jha is a professor and Graduate Chair of Animal Sciences at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, USA. He graduated with a veterinary medicine degree from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and a master’s in poultry nutrition from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He conducted some of his thesis research at Massey University, New Zealand, and he earned his PhD from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He worked as a research associate at the University of Alberta, Canada, before joining his current position at the University of Hawaii in 2012.

Professor Jha’s research is focused on evaluating the nutritional and functional value of novel foodstuff and food additives to develop sustainable feeding strategies and modulate the gut health of monogastric animals using in ovo, in vitro, and in vivo models. He has published over 200 papers in different forms, including over 100 peer-reviewed articles. Additionally, he is a highly active presenter in national and international conferences, and he serves as a visiting professor in Germany, Japan, Korea, China, and Nepal. He also serves on the editorial board of several high-impact academic journals.
