Dr. Bassinello has been active in research on rice and bean quality and utilization since 2002 and authored/co-authored > 70 research papers, 1 book, 6 book chapters and 1 Brazilian patent 14224-6 (2012) in the last 10 years. She is head of the Embrapa Research Group of Rice and Bean Special grains (2016) and is member of the Embrapa Portfolio of projects on Food, Nutrition and Health. Contributor to the OECD consensus document on common bean constituents (2015).
