Dr. Bassinello has been active in research on rice and bean quality and utilization since 2002 and authored/co-authored > 70 research papers, 1 book, 6 book chapters, and 1 Brazilian patent 14224-6 (2012) in the last 10 years. She is head of the Embrapa Research Group of Rice and Bean Special grains (2016) and is a member of the Embrapa Portfolio of projects on Food, Nutrition, and Health. Contributor to the OECD consensus document on common bean constituents (2015).
