Pinky Saikia was born in 1990 in Bokakhat, Golaghat, Assam, India. She completed her MSc in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry specialization from Dibrugarh University, Assam, India in 2013. She obtained her PhD from CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat as CSIR-Senior Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Rajib Lochan Goswamee, She is a Sr. Principal Scientist in Materials Science and Technology Division of CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat. She has cleared Assam State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) in 2019. Presently, she is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Joya Gogoi College, Khumtai, Golaghat, Assam. She has more than 10 research publications in reputed journals and has published more than two book chapters. Her research interests are sol-gel synthesis, metal diketo complexes, structure and properties of LDHs, mixed metal nano-oxides, mesoporous materials, iso-conversional thermal analysis, rheological study of fluid, single crystal analysis, MOCVD, syn-gas production, environmental catalysis and catalytic membrane reactor, etc.
