Piero Boitani
Professor of Comparative Literature, Sapienza University of Rome.
Born in Rome in 1947, married in Dublin to Joan Fitzgerald, Piero Boitani has three children and two grandchildren. He has lived and taught in England, the United States, and Italy. Since 1985 he has taught English and Comparative Literature at Sapienza University of Rome. In 2016, he won the Balzan Prize for Comparative Literature. With Nova, he has published Looking Upwards. Stars in Ancient and Medieval Cultures (2017).
