Dr. Postolache is Senior Physician in Pneumology, in Internal Medicine and in Clinical Pharmacology, Specialist Physician in Medical Rehabilitation and Smoking Cessation Adviser; Head of the Counseling Center for Smoking Cessation of the Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital, Iasi, and Member of the “Smoking Cessation” National Program of the Romanian Ministry of Health. Dr. Postolache is the Founder (1996) and the Coordinator of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Working Group of the Romanian Pneumology Society – RPS (2012) and Member of the RPS Board (2012). Dr. Postolache is recognized as an expert and leader in pulmonary rehabilitation with more than 500 invited presentations and 100 peer-reviewed publications, chapters and reviews. Dr. Postolache is a Former Chair of CHEST Council of Global Governors (2011 – 2014), a Former Member of CHEST/ACCP Pulmonary Physiology, Function, and Rehabilitation NetWork Steering Committee (2014 – 2018) and serves as a Member of the CHEST Council of Global Governors since 2014 and CHEST Global Governor for Romania since 2006, USA. Dr. Postolache was nominated as a Fellow of the CHEST (FCCP), USA, in 2005 and GOLD National Leader of the European Respiratory Society in 2010. Dr. Paraschiva Postolache has been honored with awards by the CHEST from USA, European Respiratory Society and Romanian Pneumology Society and by the Romanian Government for her international and national activity.
