Professor Paata Leiashvily, Doctor of Economic Sciences, was born in March 11, 1954 in Tbilisi. After graduating Tbilisi State University he worked at the Research Institute of Labour, the Institute of Economics at Georgia’s Academy of Sciences, was leading expert in the Budget Office and Finance and Budget Department’s apparatus of the Parliament of Georgia, and lectured on Economics at Tbilisi State University. He has also authored numerous scientific articles and several monographs.
