Orlando Gomes is professor of Economics at the Lisbon Accounting and Business School of the Lisbon Polytechnic Instutute (LABS-IPL) and a researcher at the Business Research Unit of the Lisbon University Institute (BRU-IUL). He has published more than one hundred scientific works, including articles in international scientific journals, books and book chapters, with research interests ranging from individual decision-making and behavioral economics to public policy evaluation, business cycles, international trade and economic growth.

Orlando Gomes and Mariya Gubareva are both professors of Economics at the Lisbon Accounting and Business School (ISCAL) of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute. They are both deeply engaged in research activities, with a significant amount of scientific work published in many renowned peer-reviewed academic journals. Mariya Gubareva holds a PhD in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) – University of Lisbon, and she is a researcher at SOCIUS/CSG – Research Centre in Economic and Organizational Sociology. Orlando Gomes holds a PhD in Economics from the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL), and he is a researcher at CEFAGE-ISCAL/IPL research center. Currently, Orlando Gomes is the president of ISCAL and Mariya Gubareva is the school’s pro-president for research.
