Noelia M. Cugnata holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (2011) from the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP, Argentina). BSc. Cugnata has been awarded a CIC Doctoral Fellowship (2013) and CONICET Doctoral Fellowship (2014-currently), under the direction of Dr. S. R. Fuselli (CIC-UNMDP) and Dr. R. de Castro (CONICET-UNMdP). The topic of her Doctoral Thesis deals with the study of the antimicrobial activity of natural compounds (e.g. fatty acids, vitamins, and polyphenols) against the gram-positive bacteria Paenibacillus larvae, the causative agent of American foulbrood disease, which affects Apis mellifera larvae’s health. BSc. Cugnata is a coauthor in 5 research articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, and in 14 communications to national and international conferences and scientific meetings.
