Dr. Nitesh P. Yelve works as Dean (Postgraduate Studies) and Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, India. He received his M.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai (India) and received his PhD from the Department of Aerospace Engineering of IIT Bombay (India). He also pursued the Postdoctoral Fellowship at the City University of Hong Kong. He has more than 18 years of teaching and research experience. The areas of his research interest are structural health monitoring using ultrasonic guided waves and vibration methods, active vibration control, structural dynamics, and composite materials. He is Member of Aeronautical Society of India, Astronautical Society of India, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, IEEE, Condition Monitoring Society of India, Institute of Smart Structures and Systems, Institution of Engineers India, and Indian Society for Technical Education. He also holds the post of Executive Committee Member in the Mumbai Branch of the Aeronautical Society of India.
