Naihuan Jing, Ph.D. from Yale, has worked at the IAS in Princeton, University of Michigan and University of Kansas before joining North Carolina State University, where he is a Professor. He was a recipient of Fulbright Scholarship, Humboldt Research Award and Cheung Kong Chair Professorship. He was Distinguished Chair Professor at South China University of Technology, and visiting professors to MSRI Berkeley, Max-Planck Institute of Mathematics in Bonn and Max-Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig. His main research areas are quantum groups, representation theory, and quantum computation.
