Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhdi, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. is a forestry expert specializing in forest harvesting and management. He earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Forestry from IPB University, Indonesia, and currently serves as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). He has held key academic and leadership positions at USU and holds professional certifications as a Licensed Professional Engineer (IPU), ASEAN Engineer (AFEO), and Certified Lecturer in Forest Management. Prof. Muhdi’s research and community service have been funded by national grants, published internationally, and recognized through patents. He is also an active peer reviewer for multiple academic journals. His achievements include the Satyalancana Karya Satya awards and the Outstanding Lecturer Award at USU, reflecting his contributions to forestry science, sustainable management, and higher education in Indonesia.
