Monika Sood is Assistant Professor in the Division of Food Science and Technology, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, India. She graduated from Choudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur (H.P.) and did her Post graduate and Doctorate from the same institute. She has more than 16 years of experience in teaching, research and extension. She has guided several MSc and PhD students in the field of Food Science and Technology. She has authored more than 40 research papers in national and international journals along with 15 book chapters/reviews/popular articles. She has handled research projects of DST, GOI and HTMM. She is a member of many professional societies. She also acted as external examiner and paper setter for other universities. She is reviewer of several prestigious journals related to Food Science and Technology, Horticulture etc. She has been affiliated with several internationally reputed journals and is also reviewer of reputed journals Food Science and Nutrition, Journal of Food Science, Asian Food Science Journal, Indian Journal of Horticulture and many others.
