Dr. Monika Jain, an alumna of IIT Roorkee and BITS Pilani, brings over two decades of expertise in academia. As a Gold Medalist and Merit Scholarship recipient, she pursued academic excellence at esteemed institutions like ITS, GCET, Amity University, and JSSATE. Dr. Jain has further refined her leadership abilities through the MDP at IIM Lucknow. Her industry experience at STMicroelectronics and GE during her Ph.D. and M.Tech. sets her apart as an Industry Academic Leader, rather than solely a pure academic.

During the M.Tech. project at GE, she delved into the ‘Refinery Terminal Automation’ project, mastering ALSPA 1200W SCADA programming, designing HMIs and control panels. Her prior roles at ABB, Omron and 30+ process industry visits honed her industry acumen. Moreover, during her Ph.D., she conducted her research work with international innovators, including Mr. John Beaumont, Software Architect at STMicroelectronics in the U.K. & Mr. Vincent Capony, Computer Architect at STMicroelectronics in France. She is among a few scientists whose doctoral research has been published in the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, proving her to be an industry-driven innovator. Jain currently holds various key positions at ITS. As the HOD-ECE, she has secured NBA accreditation twice. Additionally, she serves as a core advisory board member of the Newgen IEDC, which received a grant of Rs. 2.87 crore from DST for innovative projects & start-ups. She also leads the R&D team, with core team responsibilities at NAAC.

Before this, she held various leadership roles at GCET, including HOD-EIE, HOD-EEE, HOD-IC, and Head-NIRF. She has played a pivotal role in curriculum design, educational pedagogy and leadership as the Head of Admissions for Galgotias University’s inaugural batch. Notably, she has been awarded the “MODROBS” grant from AICTE. She is also a recipient of the “Foreign Travel Grant” from CSIR. Additionally, she has been granted funding 12 times by various govt bodies for convening international conferences, seminars, and FDPs. She has also been honored with international grants “Canada Research Chair” and “IEEE PES DLP”. She has extensive research achievements, with over 50 published papers, including 10 SCI, 12 Scopus, and seven patents. She contributed as an editor to three books at Springer and Inderscience, in addition to authoring three books, five chapters, and over fifteen articles. She served as a reviewer of “IEEE Communication Letters,” a highly reputed journal. Her exceptional student project mentorship has resulted in innovative projects winning a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs, “IEPC Award of the Year”.
