Mohammad Zaman earned his PhD in anthropology at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He taught for many years in universities in Bangladesh, Canada and the United States. He has published extensively in top anthropology and area studies journals and contributed chapters to several books on resettlement and development studies. He is an international development/resettlement specialist, op-ed columnist and advisory professor, National Research Center for Resettlement, Hohai University, Nanjing, China. He is also a Fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology.
