Miguel Gama is currently Associate Professor with Habilitation at Minho University, where he directs the FUNCARB Laboratory, a research group with about 20 researchers. He has authored/edited 4 books, over 100 papers in international journals, and 2 patents. Was the co-founder of a spinoff from Minho University, BCTechnologies, dedicated to the development of applications for bacterial cellulose. His research interests include enzyme technology and the development of biomaterials for tissue regeneration and drug delivery.
